TOPIC / 01 5 Questions

Quantità di Ordine minimo (MOQ)

Understand standard-product MOQs, custom orders, trial quantities and projects requiring new tooling.

01 Qual è la vostra quantità di ordine minimo?

Our general starting quantities depend on product type and customization:

  • Standard products: from 200 pieces.
  • Customized products: from 1,000 pieces.
  • New tooling projects: evaluated individually.

These are reference starting quantities, not an identical minimum for every model. We confirm the applicable MOQ after reviewing your requested configuration.

02 What is the difference between MOQ and a trial-order quantity?

MOQ is the normal minimum quantity for a particular product configuration.

Un trial order is an initial purchase that allows a buyer to evaluate a product or market before larger orders.

Our trial-order reference range is 500–1,000 pieces. This range is not a separate MOQ.

Standard products start from 200 pieces, while regular customized products start from 1,000 pieces unless a different arrangement is agreed.

03 Why do customized products usually require a higher MOQ?

Custom manufacturing may involve dedicated materials, connector parts, printing, packaging or production setup.

These requirements can create minimum purchasing quantities and preparation costs that differ from standard models.

Our regular customized-product starting MOQ is 1,000 pieces. More specialized configurations are evaluated separately.

04 Does every customized USB cable have the same MOQ?

No. Although regular customization starts at 1,000 pieces, the final requirement depends on the cable configuration.

Changing color using an existing material can involve different production conditions from developing a new connector or molded structure.

We review the required components, materials and manufacturing setup before establishing the MOQ.

05 Can a new product design have a different minimum order quantity?

Yes. Projects requiring new molds, unusual components or specialized manufacturing may have different economical order quantities.

We evaluate the tooling, material procurement and production requirements individually instead of automatically applying the standard customization MOQ.

Product Customization Options

Learn how we evaluate requested modifications, what engineering information helps start a project, how confidential designs are protected and when new development is needed.

01 What is the difference between OEM and ODM customization?

OEM generally means manufacturing to customer-provided designs or specifications.

ODM involves additional product design and development responsibilities agreed for the project.

If you have a finalized design, OEM manufacturing may be appropriate. If engineering assistance is required to define the product, ODM support may be more suitable.

Learn more about our OEM/ODM Service .

02 Can you customize USB cable length, color and connector configuration?

We can review requests involving cable length, jacket color, connector arrangements and selected construction details.

Some modifications can use existing materials and processes, while others require new components or tooling.

Length changes can affect voltage drop or signal integrity. We therefore evaluate cable length together with required charging current and data rate.

Selection point: Provide the required length, charging current and data-speed specifications together.
03 Can you add my logo, brand name or custom packaging?

We can discuss product branding, labeling and customized packaging as part of an OEM/ODM project.

Suitable marking and printing methods depend on product materials, available surfaces and processes.

Please provide logo artwork, marking positions, packaging requirements and any required label information so we can review the configuration.

04 Can you customize USB charger specifications or appearance?

We can evaluate requests involving branding, housing appearance, plug configuration, packaging and selected technical specifications.

Changes using an existing product platform can differ substantially from modifications to internal circuitry, output configuration or enclosure geometry.

Electrical changes require engineering evaluation of performance, thermal behavior and applicable compliance implications.

Project consideration: A requested output rating or charging protocol cannot be assumed available simply because an existing charger has a similar enclosure.
05 Can you customize AC/DC power adapter specifications?

We can review requests involving output voltage, current rating, DC cable length, connector type, labeling and external appearance.

A connector or cable modification may have different development requirements from changes to internal power electronics.

We evaluate electrical performance, product-specific verification needs and manufacturing feasibility before confirming the configuration.

06 Can I start a custom product project without complete technical drawings?

Yes. You can begin discussing a customization project with us before every drawing and specification has been finalized.

Initial information may include a product concept, sketches, reference photographs, an existing product sample or a list of the required functions.

We can review what is already defined, identify missing technical details and discuss whether additional engineering support is appropriate.

Before manufacturing, the necessary dimensions, materials, electrical requirements and acceptance criteria must be sufficiently defined and approved.

Starting point: You do not need a complete production drawing merely to begin an inquiry. However, incomplete requirements may require additional development before an accurate production quotation or manufacturing commitment is possible.
07 What technical information should I provide for a customization request?

Begin with the product type, intended application, estimated quantity and any available drawings or references.

The technical details differ by product category:

  • USB cables: connector arrangement, required length, charging current or power, data speed, video support if needed, cable construction and expected operating conditions.
  • USB chargers: input range, required output power, USB-A or USB-C port arrangement, charging protocols, plug type, enclosure requirements and destination market.
  • AC/DC power adapters: AC input range, DC output voltage, continuous current or power, DC connector dimensions, polarity, cable length and applicable environmental needs.

Branding, materials, appearance, packaging requirements and any customer-specific standards should also be included where relevant.

If some specifications remain undecided, tell us which details need engineering clarification. We can review the available information and identify the remaining questions.

Engineering support: For projects requiring detailed specification definition or design development, see our Custom Engineering and Design service.
08 Come si fa a proteggere il mio progetto segreto?

We can sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) before starting a project to protect your confidential product information.

Customer drawings, technical specifications and proprietary design information are handled according to the agreed confidentiality requirements. These materials are used for the authorized project purposes.

For customer-funded tooling, custom molds developed for the project belong to the customer under the agreed tooling ownership terms. We can document these ownership arrangements before development begins.

We do not retain customer design files after completion of the agreed project, in accordance with the established confidentiality and project-closeout terms.

Before sharing your designs: We recommend confirming the NDA, permitted use of technical information, mold ownership and design-file handling requirements at the beginning of the project.
09 Can you source customer-specified connectors or components?

Sì. We can source connectors, cables and electronic components based on customer-specified brands, model numbers or technical requirements for OEM/ODM projects.

We also accept customer-supplied materials and components for custom manufacturing and cable assembly.

Before production, we review the component specifications, electrical and mechanical compatibility, material availability and applicable quality requirements.

For customer-supplied components, we agree on delivery arrangements, incoming inspection requirements and material responsibilities before manufacturing begins.

Final sourcing arrangements, manufacturing feasibility and production schedules are confirmed according to the project's requirements.

For custom projects: Please provide the specified component brand, part number, technical datasheet or reference sample. If you plan to supply the components yourself, let us know the quantities, delivery plan and any required handling or inspection conditions.

Samples & Prototype Development

Understand sample availability, charges, development timing and approval requirements.

01 Do you provide free product samples?

We provide regular and standard product samples free of charge.

Customized samples may involve charges depending on materials, tooling and development complexity.

We confirm any applicable custom-sample charges before producing the sample.

Cost clarification: Free standard samples refer to the sample products. International freight arrangements and shipping charges should be discussed separately.
02 How long does custom sample development usually take?

Our reference development time for regular custom samples is approximately 7–14 days.

Actual timing depends on finalized specifications, material availability and preparation needs.

New tooling or substantial design work may require a separately agreed schedule.

Sample development time is distinct from bulk production lead time.

03 Can I provide an existing product sample as a reference?

Yes. You can provide a reference sample to show intended dimensions, appearance, connectors and functions.

A physical sample does not always establish all information needed for manufacturing, so we may request drawings, electrical specifications or measurements.

We can review the reference and identify additional information needed to evaluate development.

04 What should buyers check before approving a custom sample?

Before approving a sample, verify the characteristics relevant to its intended application:

  • Connector fit and physical dimensions.
  • Electrical, charging and data functions where applicable.
  • Length, materials and construction.
  • Appearance, color and branding.
  • Packaging and labeling information.

We recommend resolving discrepancies before approving the final production specification.

05 Can bulk production begin immediately after sample approval?

Sample approval is important, but it does not alone establish production readiness.

We also need finalized specifications, component availability and agreed order conditions.

Before releasing a custom order, the approved configuration, quantity and tooling requirements should be established so bulk production remains aligned with the sample.

New Tooling & Project Requirements

Understand when a new mold may be needed and how tooling requirements affect cost, MOQ and development timing.

01 When is a new mold required for product customization?

A new mold may be necessary when the requested geometry cannot be manufactured using existing tooling.

Examples include a new molded connector housing, overmold profile or charger enclosure.

Some modifications involving existing materials, colors or markings may be possible without new molds.

We evaluate the proposed design against available manufacturing resources.

02 What factors determine new mold and tooling costs?

Tooling cost depends on geometry, mold type, material choice, required accuracy and manufacturing complexity, as well as development trials.

We evaluate applicable charges against the actual design rather than quoting one universal mold fee for all projects.

The tooling scope and any related development costs should be established before work begins.

03 How can new tooling affect the MOQ and development schedule?

New tooling can involve engineering confirmation, mold fabrication, sampling and design adjustments.

These activities may affect the practical order quantity and overall development schedule.

We assess new-tooling MOQs and timelines individually instead of automatically applying the 1,000-piece regular customization starting quantity.

04 What is the typical production lead time for regular customization?

Our reference production lead time for regular customized products is approximately 10–20 days.

Actual timing depends on approved specifications, materials, quantity and manufacturing arrangements.

New tooling or extensive engineering may require additional time.

Project timing: The 7–14-day reference for regular custom samples and the 10–20-day reference for regular customized-product production describe separate activities, not a guaranteed combined completion date.
Our minimum order quantities, sample-development periods and production timelines are general references rather than universal guarantees. Final conditions depend on the approved product configuration, material availability and project-specific manufacturing requirements. Confidentiality and tooling ownership arrangements are documented according to the relevant project agreement.
